Not Exactly A Normal Beginning.

Rukaa didn’t start with a business plan. It started with two people constantly arguing over fonts, layouts, strategy, colors, spacing, and honestly… almost everything else. One side was powered by perfectionism, emotional outbursts, and random midnight rants about why brands feel dead inside. The other side was powered by ADHD, twenty tabs open at all times, jumping between five ideas per minute, and somehow still being the organized one. Most conversations started as “small creative discussions” and somehow ended in full-blown debates about whether a single pixel felt emotionally correct.

At first, it was chaos in the funniest way possible. Endless teasing, bullying each other for terrible ideas, sending screenshots at 3AM saying “this feels off” without explaining why, surviving on caffeine, and pretending deadlines were just “suggestions.” But somewhere inside all that noise, something started making sense. We realized we cared too much to create meaningless work. Too much to make brands that just looked pretty but had no soul behind them.

The truth is, Rukaa was born out of frustration. Frustration with brands trying too hard to fit trends. Frustration with content that exists just to exist. Frustration with seeing businesses spend so much money trying to look modern while saying absolutely nothing memorable. Most brands didn’t need more posts, more ads, or more noise. They needed clarity. Direction. Identity. Something real.

So without even realizing it, Rukaa slowly became our answer to all of that. A studio built on instinct, obsession, overthinking, and an unreasonable amount of care for details most people would never notice. Every project became personal. Every visual had to feel intentional. Every system had to actually help brands move forward instead of just looking impressive in presentations.

Even today, not much has changed. There are still random creative breakdowns, last-minute ideas at impossible hours, ADHD-fueled pivots, emotional speeches about typography, and bullying disguised as “creative feedback.” But underneath all of it is the same belief that started Rukaa in the first place: good brands are not built through noise. They’re built through clarity, intention, and work that actually means something.
